Born in Riga, Latvia (USSR), Tatjana "Tiki" Tikhonov has traveled the world and currently resides in Los Gatos. Coach Tiki comes from a noble ice hockey family where hard work and dedication have paved the road to success. Her grandfather is Viktor Tikhonov, the highest decorated coach in ice hockey history. Her father is Vasili Tikhonov, who coached the San Jose Sharks and the reason her family moved to California. Her brother is Viktor Tikhonov, Russian Olympian, NHL player and currently playing in the KHL in Russia. She is a former player and now a professional coach in men’s ice hockey. Coach Tiki is able to help out players of all ages and levels and continue her passion for her sport.
Currently, she is finishing her Bachelor's degree in ice hockey coaching and management from Haaga-Helia University in Finland by doing her practical year at Extra Hour Off-Ice Training Facility and writing her thesis on breaking through barriers and female head coach in men’s professional ice hockey.
She loves giving back to her community and promises to have some exciting stories to tell!
