SUMMARY:The Time of the Month Project
DESCRIPTION:The Time of the Month Project is an evening to give and raise awareness of Next Door Solutions for Domestic Violence & Bill Wilson Center.\n\n \n\n\nWhen we think of helping the homeless\, we often think of donating food\, clothing\, and blankets to homeless service organizations. However\, we don't often think of the needs women face each month and the need for feminine hygiene- pads and tampons. Los Gatos' very own Skin Maven will be hosting and sponsoring a community-based event to educate our community about the needs women and teens face related to feminine hygiene. Sanitary pads and tampons are in crucial demand. A continual supply is necessary for them to have what they need when they need it. The goal is to rally our community to join forces and support marginalized women and teens. \n\n \n\nMany Los Gatos Chamber members have committed to donating and participating in this event: Rootstock Wine Bar\, Loma Brewery\, Bare Wax Lounge & French Theft Lingerie. Local restaurants and wine & beer houses have provided appetizers and drinks. Local stores have donated prizes for a raffle. Attendees will receive raffle tickets for supplies they bring\, and another ticket if they bring a friend. These tickets will be drawn to win raffle prize baskets that feature the local businesses. \n\n \n\nWhat to bring with you Thursday April 27th:  Friends and family and a stockpiles of sanitary pads\, tampons with strings\, Thinx and feminine wipes.  All supplies will be donated to Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence and The Bill Wilson Center.
