SUMMARY:The Fundamentals of Drawing with Laurel Bushman
DESCRIPTION:In this two-day workshop\, Students will learn unique approaches to the different stages of drawing using black and white charcoal pencils. Emphasis will be placed on how to become organized and flexible during the drawing process while drawing with a realistic approach. Students will complete two drawings over the course of the workshop\, along with a number of small studies. I will conduct drawing demonstrations for the class during the course of the workshop\; however\, students will focus the majority of their time working on their projects and will receive personal attention through each phase of the drawing process. Upon completion of the workshop\, students will have gained skills in creating interesting compositions\, unique approaches to drawing and the inspiration to begin their own personal art practice at home! Lastly\, these skills will translate across different media and help artists create various types of artwork in the future.\n\n\n\nSkill Level: Beginner + | Ages: 13+\n\nFee: NUMU Member: $160 | General: $180 + $30 Materials fee (collected day of workshop)\n\n\n\nAll class fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor:\n\nAfter earning her BFA in painting and a minor in drawing at the Savannah College of Art and Design\, Laurel Bushman moved to California to pursue her career in murals.
