SUMMARY:POSTPONED: Workshop: Practical Cybersecurity for Businesses & Individuals
DESCRIPTION:POSTPONED\n\n\n\nFrom Presenter\, Bob Kruse:\n\nCyberattacks are accelerating in scale and sophistication\, with recent incidents showcasing how quickly criminals are weaponizing new tools\, including AI driven techniques that can mimic trusted communications\, bypass controls\, and overwhelm traditional defenses. The State of The Hack will examine some of the most significant and unsettling recent events\, illustrating what they reveal about today's digital risk environment for individuals\, families\, and organizations of all sizes.\n\n\n\nEven as defenses advance\, the most vulnerable point in any system remains the human being behind the keyboard\, the real "software" :)\, where simple mistakes like clicking a malicious link or sharing a password can open the door to serious damage. This session explains why a structured\, ongoing "Managed Awareness" program is essential to building a culture of vigilance\, helping everyday users recognize social engineering\, AI enhanced scams\, and other common attack techniques before harm occurs.\n\n\n\nAttendees will leave with clear\, practical recommendations they can apply immediately to safeguard personal information\, protect their families at home\, and strengthen security practices within their businesses in the face of rapidly evolving\, AI powered threats.\n \n\nAs for me\, I have been in cyber security for over twenty years mainly focused on cutting edge\, venture capital funded startups that cause me to lose sleep and irritate my gracious\, understanding and lovely wife\, Esther. :)
