SUMMARY:Handwriting the Constitution (8/20)
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate our nation's 250th Sesquicentennial by participating in our Handwriting the Constitution community art project. Participants will transcribe portions of the U.S. Constitution on large foamcore whiteboards using black felt-tip markers.\n\nParticipants at all levels of artistic skill are welcome. The transcriptions will be assembled into a single large-scale collective artwork-the entire U.S. Constitution written by diverse hands-and will be installed for the public in Los Gatos.\n\nParticipating in the handwriting sessions can be meditative\, thought-provoking\, and reflective. We hope that participants will have a renewed sense of the importance of\, and appreciation for\, our Constitution. We will collect comments\, impressions and observations from participants about their experience.\n\nConstitution handwriting sessions will be offered at NUMU: \n\n7/16/26 - 12:15-1:15 PM\n\n7/25/26 - 12:15-1:15 PM\n\n8/20/26 - 12:15-1:15 PM\n\nThis program is made in partnership with the Town of Los Gatos.
