March 3: Bocce Ball Fund Raiser Hosted by Los Gatos High School Baseball. Starting at 5pm, at Campo di Bocce, 565 University Ave. Leading off the evening, tournament play will begin at 5:30 pm; followed by dinner and drinks. April 25 (Sun.): The Great Race from Saratoga to Los Gatos
The run/walk begins at 9 am. Race begins at the corner of Big Basin Way and 3rd St. in downtown Saratoga. Shuttles on Grays Lane (between N. Celebrate Wine, Food & Fashion in Los Gatos

The Visitors Bureau, a partnership between the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Los Gatos, is developing the first week long event to showcase fashion, food & wine in downtown Los Gatos. We are bringing together downtown restaurants, Santa Cruz Mountain wineries and retail merchants, Monday to Friday, April 26 - 30, 2010.

April 30 (Fri., Arbor Day): 30th Year as a Tree City USA at 10AM. Join the town of Los Gatos as they celebrate 30th Year as a Tree City USA at Belgatos Park, 330 Belgatos Lane. To celebrate, the Town will plant 30 trees at designated park locations.

May 1 (Sat.): Cat’s Hill Bicycle Race in Almond Grove District, Tait and Nicholson Avenues. Hosted by Los Gatos Bicycle Racing Club. The Cat's Hill Race is challenging to ride, and great fun to watch. Come and see for yourself! May 1 (Sat.): A Taste of Kayaking Class At Vasona County Park, 9:00am-12:15pm. Docent Shirley Reekie will show and tell first-time kayakers all about this fun-loving sport. Choose session 9:00-10:30am or 10:45am-12:15pm. Kayaks provided, but bring sun protection, water and snacks. Must be 12 years or older and able to swim. May 1 (Sat.): The Los Gatos Wine Walk
Sip, savor and shop your way through Santa Cruz Ave and Main Street. Look for the blue balloons outside of every participating merchant. Each merchant will have an "open house" atmosphere for you to sip on a Santa Cruz Mountain wine, savor appetizers from a Los Gatos restaurant and shop. Every participating merchant will have a sign outside their business with the name of the winery and restaurant they are featuring. June 5 (Sat.): Los Gatos Plein Air Art Show and Auction at Old Town Shopping Center. This juried event brings nationally recognized Plein Air artists to Los Gatos to paint  "en plein air" which refers to the 19th century style of painting "in the open air" on location. The artists selected by jurors will come to town on June 2nd, and will be painting in Los Gatos for three days. Proceeds benefit Jewish Family Services. 10,000 rubber ducks will pour from the bed of a dump truck, float down the stream, and eventually into the prize picking net.
